What a wonderful country Morocco is, rich in history and culture.

Well as you can tell I have indeed returned and inspite of a 19 hour flight I couldn't wait to upload my digital pictures. I have over 800 pictures which are in dire need of processing and I just wanted to share a few with you for now so that you can encapsulate the sights of this amazingly diverse nation as well.

Like Water

Used graduated tint in Orange on the leaves and rocks for a different impact.

I'll be away for the next 10 days on a big adventure to Morocco. I'll have plenty of pictures when I return, so please come by soon to check out the Moroccan chapter.

So long...

Culture

Clay figurines and other Ukranian Arts and Crafts at the CNE, Toronto

Toronto is considered as one of the leading multi-cultural cities in North America where you can meet people from practically anywhere around the world.

Every summer, the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) hosts a multitude of events in different pavilions which embrace and promote cultural diversity in the Canadian society. As I was walking through the Arts and Crafts pavilion and visiting different booths, I couldn't help but notice the similarities between many of the "Silk Road" cultures.

I started to wonder about the history of this osmosis and how much literature I would be able to find on this subject. Much of what I have read delves into Mythology for the most part but it doesn't connect the dots.

If you as my visitor can recommend any books in regards to this subject, I would appreciate it.

The Summer Chapter

Top the day off with Cotton Candy

A scene from the play "Much Ado About Nothing" at the Shakespeare under the Stars Festival.

Summer time seems to be a great opportunity for kids and adults alike to enjoy themselves with all sorts of activities. Try to think back to the first day of school when you were always asked to write a paper on what you did during the summer. I'm still baffled at what the purpose of the dreaded paper was since as a matter of principal all kids gloated about events which never took place.
It was a matter of honour and glory.

I have tried to capture many sights and sounds of summer which ring a chord within all of us. Yes there's the nature, the beach, the birds and the bathing suits but I wanted to encapsulate the true spirit of this glorious season: Fun

Enjoy the rest of it wherever you are.

Dim the Lights

Grenadier Pond in the evening, Toronto

Acquainted With the Night

I have been one acquainted with the night.
I have walked out in rain--and back in rain.
I have outwalked the furthest city light.

I have looked down the saddest city lane.
I have passed by the watchman on his beat
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain.

I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet
When far away an interrupted cry
Came over houses from another street,
But not to call me back or say good-by;

And further still at an unearthly height
One luminary clock against the sky
Proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right.

I have been one acquainted with the night

The Garden Of Life

A Tree somewhere in the nature, Toronto

The Garden of Life

The Garden of Life is full of fruit

To nourish my soul today
Each tree is full of plump ripe fruit
All within my reach

Each beckons me to pick and eat
To fill my soul to the brim
Which do I choose as I walk
Into the world today?

Is it the fruit of the Living God
I feast upon today
Or is it the fruit of deception and lies
That first catches my eye

How do I know what to pick?
It all looks good to me.

Uncertainty

After the Rain and through the Fog in a local Toronto Ravine

I must admit myself that this is one of the best photos I've had in the blog so far. Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I just absolutely fell in love with this moment and had to capture it.
